Tomato Basil Garlic Bread

Here’s a simple recipe for Tomato Basil Garlic Bread:

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of crusty bread (like French or Italian)
  • 2-3 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Prepare the Topping:

    • In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, and olive oil.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Prepare the Bread:

    • Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
    • Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  4. Assemble:

    • Spoon the tomato mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
    • If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  5. Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is toasted and the topping is heated through.
  6. Serve:

    • Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
