Creamy Lobster Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe

Ingredients

  • For the Pasta:

    • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
    • Salt (for pasta water)
  • For the Lobster:

    • 1 lb lobster meat, cooked and chopped (you can use fresh or frozen lobster)
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • For the Alfredo Sauce:

    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Lobster:

    • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Add the chopped lobster meat to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:

    • In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
    • Stir in the garlic powder and gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Combine:

    • Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
    • Gently fold in the lobster meat, being careful not to break it apart too much.
  5. Serve:

    • Divide the creamy lobster fettuccine Alfredo among plates. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.

Tips

  • Lobster: If using whole lobsters, you can steam or boil them before extracting the meat. Alternatively, you can use pre-cooked lobster meat for convenience.
  • Variations: Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or peas for added color and nutrition.
