Here’s a delicious recipe for Cheesesteak-Stuffed Garlic Bread Loaf. This hearty dish combines the flavors of a classic cheesesteak with the irresistible taste of garlic bread!

Ingredients:

For the Garlic Bread:

  • 1 large loaf of French bread or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Cheesesteak Filling:

  • 1 lb (450 g) thinly sliced beef (such as ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium bell pepper, sliced (green or red)
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded (or cheese of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Garlic Butter:

    • In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Prepare the Bread:

    • Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves of the bread. Place the bread on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  4. Cook the Cheesesteak Filling:

    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms (if using). Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
    • Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.
  5. Assemble the Loaf:

    • Evenly distribute the cheesesteak filling over the garlic buttered bread halves. Top with shredded provolone cheese and cheddar cheese (if using).
  6. Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden brown.
  7. Serve:

    • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into pieces and serve warm.

Tips:

  • You can customize the filling by adding other ingredients like jalapeños for heat or different types of cheese.
  • Serve with marinara sauce or a dipping sauce of your choice for extra flavor.

This Cheesesteak-Stuffed Garlic Bread Loaf is a delicious and satisfying dish that’s perfect for game day, parties, or a fun family dinner. Enjoy!
