Taco Bell Beefy Melt Burrito

Here’s a homemade version of the Taco Bell Beefy Melt Burrito that you can easily make at home!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • Optional: Sour cream, diced tomatoes, or shredded lettuce for serving

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Ground Beef:

    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add Taco Seasoning:

    • Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Cook according to the package instructions, usually simmering for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  3. Prepare the Tortillas:

    • Warm the flour tortillas in a microwave or on a skillet for a few seconds until pliable.
  4. Assemble the Burritos:

    • On each tortilla, spread a layer of the seasoned beef mixture (about 1/4 cup).
    • Add a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese and a drizzle of nacho cheese sauce on top of the beef.
  5. Fold the Burritos:

    • Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up from the bottom to the top, enclosing the filling completely.
  6. Optional – Toast the Burritos:

    • If desired, you can toast the burritos in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve:

    • Serve the Beefy Melt Burritos warm, with optional toppings like sour cream, diced tomatoes, or shredded lettuce.
