Golden Vanilla Bundt Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar:

    • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add Eggs and Vanilla:

    • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients and Milk:

    • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the flour mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Pour into Bundt Pan:

    • Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool:

    • Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Then, carefully invert the cake onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Serve:

    • Once cooled, you can serve the cake as is, dusted with powdered sugar, or drizzle with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.
