Posted on July 9, 2025

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Cool Whip & Pudding Frosting that is perfect for cakes, cupcakes, or as a dip for fruits and cookies!

Cool Whip & Pudding Frosting Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant pudding mix (any flavor, such as vanilla, chocolate, or cheesecake)
  • 2 cups Cool Whip (thawed)
  • 1 cup milk (cold)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions

  1. Mix Pudding:

    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk. Continue whisking for about 2 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  2. Fold in Cool Whip:

    • Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip until fully combined. Be careful not to deflate the Cool Whip; you want to keep it light and fluffy.
  3. Add Vanilla (Optional):

    • If desired, stir in the vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  4. Chill:

    • For best results, refrigerate the frosting for about 30 minutes before using. This will help it set up a bit more.
  5. Frost Your Treats:

    • Use the Cool Whip & Pudding Frosting to frost cakes, cupcakes, or as a dip for fruits and cookies.

Tips

  • Flavor Variations: You can experiment with different flavors of pudding mix to create various frostings. For example, chocolate pudding with Cool Whip makes a rich chocolate frosting, while vanilla pudding can be paired with any cake flavor.
  • Storage: Store any leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Enjoy your Cool Whip & Pudding Frosting! It’s a quick and easy way to add a delicious touch to your desserts!
