air fryer poached eggs

Posted on April 29, 2025

Making poached eggs in an air fryer is a unique and convenient method! Here’s a simple recipe to achieve perfectly poached eggs using your air fryer.

Air Fryer Poached Eggs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Eggs (as many as you want to poach)
  • Water (for steaming)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste, for serving)
  • Cooking spray (optional, for greasing)

Equipment:

  • Air fryer
  • Ramekins or small oven-safe dishes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 270°F (130°C).

  2. Prepare the Ramekins: Lightly grease the ramekins with cooking spray (optional) to prevent sticking.

  3. Add Water: Pour about 1-2 tablespoons of water into each ramekin. The water will create steam to help poach the eggs.

  4. Crack the Eggs: Carefully crack an egg into each ramekin over the water.

  5. Cover the Ramekins: If you have lids for your ramekins, use them. If not, you can cover them loosely with aluminum foil to help trap the steam.

  6. Air Fry the Eggs: Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, depending on how runny you like your yolks. Check at the 10-minute mark for doneness.

  7. Remove and Serve: Carefully remove the ramekins from the air fryer (they will be hot!). Use a spoon to gently lift the poached eggs out of the ramekins. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Tips:

  • For firmer yolks, increase the cooking time by a minute or two.
  • You can experiment with adding herbs or spices to the water for extra flavor.
  • Serve the poached eggs on toast, salads, or as part of a breakfast bowl.

Enjoy!

Air fryer poached eggs are a quick and easy way to enjoy this classic breakfast dish without the fuss of traditional poaching methods. Enjoy your perfectly poached eggs!
